STAKEHOLDERS 2009-2010 Stakeholders
Each year, member Head Start organizations may select up to four (4) Stakeholders (one per
category) who will act as representatives to the Association and assist in the work of advocacy and
school readiness for low-income children and families in the state of Maryland. To be considered for
a Board of Directors position, individuals must first be identified as their program's Stakeholder.
Stakeholders fall into four categories:
Administrators Reps - Are the Head Start program/agency Director, Manager or Executive Director.
These individuals are automatically their program's Administrator Stakeholders.
Staff Reps - May be any person who is paid as a regular (full or part-time) staff person of a Head Start
Program.
Parent Reps - Are any person who currently has a child in a Head Start Program.
Friend Reps - Are any person who does not fall into the other three categories. Friends may be former
parents, Board Members, Policy Council Community Reps, volunteers, community partners, or anyone
with a interest in assisting Head Start program.
