Membership Committee Meeting

The mission of the Membership Committee is to understand the needs and wants of all of the affinity groups -- Administrators, Staff, Parents and Friends -- of the MHSA Membership; and with this understanding, the Committee shall develop and implement policies and services that best meet these needs.
One of its first charges was to develop the criteria and process for the new Lifetime Achievement Award for Maryland Head Start staff. The first annual awards presentation took place during the Opening Plenary Luncheon of the 2013 Spring Training Conference in Annapolis Maryland. This award has been modified and is now the MHSA Head Start Star Award. The Membership Committee continues to make adjustments to the protocol for the award, in order to ensure the goal of highlighting the outstanding contributions of long-term Head Start staff is accomplished.

If you wish to be a part of this decision making team, please attend the next meeting of the MHSA Membership Committee.
Like the other MHSA Committees, the Membership Committee is establishing a regular meeting schedule. The Committee shall meet the second Monday of each month, at 11:00 AM.
Most meetings will be web-based meetings through GotoMeeting. Should we schedule a face-to-face meeting, you will be notified of the change.
