National Dental Care Month

May is National Dental Care Month. Having good oral health is extremely important. Having good oral health helps reduce the risk of disease, reduce the risk of cancer and dementia, have a healthy baby, keep your teeth, live longer, avoid disease, and so much more.

You can maintain good oral health by brushing your teeth daily (at least twice), brushing your tongue, flossing, having a healthy diet, replacing your toothbrush every 3-4 months, and seeing a dentist at least once a year.

As adults, it is important to maintain our own good oral health, but also teach our little ones about it. The best way to teach them is by modeling good oral health habits!
